COOL BREEZE is a very early producer at just 45 days and is also parthenocarpic (all female flowers) which means they are self pollinating. This way if it is a cooler spring that lacks early pollinators they will still set fruit. They are also good at setting fruit under cool conditions in general compared to most types which makes them perfect for our zone 3B area.
Vines are 4-5 ft. Harvest at 4-6 inches for pickling or larger for fresh eating. Makes very crunchy pickles.
Cucumbers are not fond of transplanting in general and any root damage can lead to stunted plants, reduced yield and complete plant failure as well as increased disease and pest pressure. We grow our seedlings in paper pots so our customers can simply place the entire unit into the planting hole.
